OUR STORY
The Safari Simbaz Academy is a non-profit organisation based in Kenya, supported by the Safari Simbaz Charity Trust (Europe), (UK Charity number 1169946), it was set up to reduce poverty in local communities through education and to provide students with transferable qualifications to help them build successful careers.
The Simbaz was founded by David Kinjah in 1999, since then he has dedicated his time to achieving this vision with the help of an international collective of cyclists including former protege Chris Froome, a seven time Grand Tour winner and Olympic medallist.
The Present
The Safari Simbaz Trust is based in Kikuyu, on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya on a half acre (0.2 hectare) plot comprising several corrugated tin roofed buildings with few utilities.

The Future
In 2023 the Safari Simbaz purchased five acres of land close the the Town of Mweiga, nestled between the Abadare mountain range and Mt Kenya. The next phase is to realise the Chris Froome Academy which will provide certified and acredited educational programs to 40 full boarding students in addition to day pupils.
